ABOUT MINA:

Mina is a precious little girl recently rescued from an orphanage in Eastern Europe who is now finally home with her forever family! She had been without a mother or father to love her & care for her each day. No one to rock her, kiss her gently or tell her she's loved. She is blessed with an extra chromosome known as Down syndrome, which for her that meant a life of being viewed as worthless in the country she was born into & a life without hope. Because of this her parents gave her up at the age of 6 months when they found out the diagnosis & from there her life progressivly went down hill. We are the Gower family residing in OKC who recently adopted this little angel. She was extremely malnourished and unable to do just about anything when we first met her. She will be 2 in January & is the size of a 3-6 month old weighing 14lbs. She continues to amaze us at how quickly she is progressing with love and nutrition. She has learned to sit up, roll over, feed herself finger foods, hold her own bottle and loves to interact with toys and other children. Her life has changed so much in such a short period of time and will forever be changed! Thank you Lord for putting a burden on our hearts to rescue this little blessing and making her apart of our family!

Help! Pick out Mina's coming home outfit!

So we thought it might be great to get something special for Mina for her to have as a keepsake from where she is from. This will be the outfit we dress her in to take her out of the orphanage. And probably put her in for her welcome home party! Let me know what you think.

Option 1:

Option 2:

Option 3:

Option 4:

Option 5:

Option 6:

Here's the precious little shoes that are newborn size & should definitely fit her feet. Of course we will have to decide on the shoes to match the dress. I absolutely love the little yellow shoes.

Please post a comment & let us know ur vote to help narrow down our choices :)

I like option 5....the poofy skirts always get me. What size does she wear?

Mina's smile is just beautiful and I also think her little fishy face is adorable. Thanks for letting me follow along on your amazing journey.

I love option 1, the darker dress. Mina seems so fairskinned and I bet it would look beautiful on her! (that is what I like on my daughter who is so fair, she looks so good in bright colors). Option 6 is my 2nd choice. :)
Mina looks better in every pic you post and its easy to see the difference you're making for her everyday!

Ayelen votes #6
Eliana votes #1
I vote #2

The pink with a jacket would be super hot for OKC right now, I think. I think the white one is toooo frilly. But, I REALLY like that #2 is dress and casual.... but, my second choice is with Ayelen. :) (Because you know how I feel about pink ;)

love you!
Cant wait to kiss my niece!

Ok I looked and looked and looked again! I love them all but I have to go with #3...it looks the most Ukrainian of all of them and sort of looks a little old fashioned! I just love it and I think it will be an awesome reminder of where she came from...well any of them would but you said to pick ONE so I did!!! #2 reminds me of the flinstones...she could be pebbles?? Hehe! Oh I can't wait to see her in her home with being loved on!!

Hot pink or light pink! I think the hot pink is happy and very different then what her life has been. The gray and serious tones remind me of E. Europe. The hot pink reminds me of happiness and happy memories.

But the light pink just looks classy. :) Either way!

What an exciting thing to go shopping for!! I vote for 5 (what does 5 look like without the cardigan?), or 6. If you are REALLY trying to get her something from her region, I'd also suggest looking to see if there is a tag on there somewhere that tells you where the dress was made?

Thank you all!! Rhonda she is wearing size 3-6m and some 6-9m and shoes are newborn.

Tiffany that is a great idea. I should definitely look at the tags and see if any of them are actually from here!

Thank you everyone for letting us know your thoughts!

I like Option 4! Soft pink and smart, and the jacket will be good on the plane as it tends to be cool. They are all beautiful dresses - buy them all! :))
